The Board of Review is an autonomous, quasi-judicial agency created by Rhode Island General Law whose primary function is to hear and render decisions on appeals arising from the Department of Labor and Training (DLT), Unemployment Insurance and Temporary Disability/Temporary Caregivers Insurance divisions, and from employers on certain contested tax status issues.
The Governor's Workforce Board is the centralized resource for workforce development issues, connecting a wide variety of services and programs for both employers and job seekers.
The Workforce Partnership of Greater Rhode Island is an employment and training resource providing responsive, market-based solutions for employers and potential workers. We are one of two state Workforce Investment Boards charged with partnering with local industries to increase labor and training initiatives within the state. We collaborate with business, labor, education leaders and community-based organizations to establish a dynamic, outcome driven, visible resource providing measurable and comprehensive market-driven based employment and training services.

The Professional Regulations Board consists of the Board of Examiners for Electrician, Hoisting Engineers, Mechanicals, Plumbers, the Safety Awareness Board, the State Apprenticeship Council and the Board of Examiners of Telecommunications, System Contractors, Technicians and Installers.
The Board of Police Officer Relief Per RI General Law 45-19-2, within the Department of Labor and Training there is a board of police officer's relief consisting of seven members which administers the fund for the relief of police officers.
