Reporting TDI Fraud


There are two ways to report TDI Fraud:

  1. By Telephone: call the TDI Fraud hotline at (401) 462-1522 or

  2. Email the Fraud Unit at DLT.UITDIfraud@dlt.ri.gov

You may report alleged fraud anonymously, however please know that if you choose to provide your contact information, it will remain strictly confidential.

Fraud investigators will need the following information to pursue a tip:

▶ First and last names of those allegedly committing fraud, along with physical descriptions

▶ Name and location of employment

Additionally, the following is helpful, but not required:

▶ Social Security numbers of those allegedly committing fraud
▶ Description of vehicles involved, if applicable
▶ Qualified Healthcare Provider's name and adress

About Fraud

In order to collect TDI legally in Rhode Island, a claimant must be determined unable to work due to an illness or injury by a licensed Qualified Healthcare Provider.

A TDI claimant who is currently collecting TDI benefits is committing fraud if:
