There are two ways to file a claim for Unemployment Insurance:

2. File a claim over the telephone through the UI Call Center

To file a claim by telephone, please call (401) 243-9100 during call center business hours:

Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays - 8:00 am to 3:00 pm;
Wednesdays - 8:00 am to Noon; Fridays - 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

You will need to provide the following information in order to file an Unemployment Insurance Claim.

• Social Security Number
• Full name, address and telephone number of all employers you have worked for in the last two years.
• If you are not a US citizen, you will need your alien registration number.

Please be sure you have all of the above information BEFORE calling to file your claim.
