| What is the Workers' Compensation Education Unit?
The Workers' Compensation Education Unit is a non-regulatory state agency created in 1991. The Education Unit provides educational services to employees and employers to prevent occupational diseases and injuries. We provide injured workers with clear information about the workers' compensation system, assistance with insurance companies and employers, and access to additional services. We provide employers with educational programs to improve workplace health and safety. If an injury or illness occurs, the Education Unit will assist an employer with proper case management. Our services are not limited to employers and employees. We respond to questions from insurers, medical providers and staff, attorneys, third party administrators, union representatives and many others. |
